Schafer Rheinischer Hof in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg

A very welcoming hotel, we spent our holidays here with the family and relaxed a lot. A stroke of luck.

The view here is really great! The staff and the overall ambience are also excellent. Will definitely come back here.

We were received there for a minute. The rooms were big enough, clean and creatively decorated. The staff were friendly and the breakfast selection was large and there was something for everyone. We'll be back for sure.

Simply fantastic hotel, there are many services and you are very relaxing. It is very close to many amenities and at the same time you can stay in a luxury hotel for a moderate price.

I can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience. We stayed here for two for one night. The rooms were clean, originally furnished and also soundproof (which is very important in a hotel room). The staff was always friendly. The location was perfect for us. So I would book it again if we needed a room nearby.

Hotel is dirty and cold. Spent one night there from December 1st, 2020 to December 2nd, 2020, horror! In room 27, when we arrived at 6:30 p.m., the window was open and the heating was off, it didn't get warm. The dishes from the previous guest were still in the sink. Bathroom not very clean either. On the next day that was addressed while leaving, criticism was gratefully accepted and the cleaning team should be informed. When I saw the dirty coffee machine, it was clear to me that they'd rather apologize than just clean. Never again.

The hotel has a very great central location and is beautifully decorated. The staff is also very friendly. Food is also very good. Will definitely come again. All around a great hotel.

Was in Ginsheim on business and stayed at the Hotel Schäfer. Found the service to be very good and nice. Breakfast was also very good and the rooms and the hotel made a very clean and tidy impression on me

I chose this hotel in Ginsheim for a city trip to Mainz. The location was ideal for this purpose. The hotel itself seemed clean and the staff was very polite and courteous. I was very satisfied with the room, it was clean and modern but comfortably furnished. I only have good words for the restaurant - very tasty. Should I be in the area again, I'll be happy to come back.

I was not very enthusiastic about the first call, because Mr. Schäfer hardly listened to me on the phone to the end and I only got my actual questions answered by "getting my voice through". Nice location, which is why we booked anyway, but due to a general parking ban in the area, I asked again beforehand how the parking was. He said we got a ticket. There was nobody there until about 3:45 p.m. The keys were already on the table with their names, but the ticket was missing. I cannot imagine that we could just stand in an existing parking lot without even having a space. We would have blocked some cars. He said nothing could happen to us. Since we had to go back at 3 in the morning, we could stand in the courtyard. We asked on the bell again whether the gate would stay open at night so that we could get out early. We'd be told that everything was safe here and things about the Chief of Police, which wasn't the point at all. So the gentleman quickly interrupted the word and didn't even listen to the end of the question. I can't say anything good about the cleanliness. In the Bauschheimer Hof you can get a spotlessly clean room for the same price. There was vacuum cleaning on pieces of furniture, sometimes hair on the bed. We didn't really feel at home here.

The staff was very friendly and the location was beautiful. Prices ok. Room very large and nicely designed. Downside: cold shower. Water does not get warm. But on the whole, very to peace. Many Thanks!

A disaster to say the least, even if Mr. Schäfer may be a nice guy: The first room might have been OK if the bathroom fuse hadn't been blown out all the time (room 10). We got another room (in another hotel it would probably be a "suite"), which unfortunately was not heated (outside temperature 3 ° C!). Until it was warm in the morning we were really freezing. There were no blankets (like in other hotels). The floor was just dirty, as was the shower. Visible despite poor lighting. Basically nobody has an eye for subtleties, so you can allow yourself to take 95 € for a collection of flea market furniture that is also crooked and tilted. If it hadn't been 10 p.m. by now, I would have changed hotels. After Mr. Schäfer couldn't be seen in the morning and I didn't have time, I didn't ask for a price reduction. The breakfast was OK, the service friendly. Still, I don't understand why other guests want to come back. I cannot recommend the hotel at all. Incidentally, I was at the Hotel Kanzler in Bonn the following night for only eight (8!) Euros more and also had a suite. In Bonn mind you and not in Ginsheim ...

I stayed here for 3 months (in the Villa Rhenus portion) while working in Germany and enjoyed it so much I recommended it to my colleague to book as well. The people who run the hotel are very friendly and helpful with any questions. The man who works the breakfast room remembered on my 3rd day what I would want to eat and cooked it without asking. Being able to open your doors and look out at the river was my favorite part and it's a very nice, safe area. Highly recommend you book this hotel!

The accommodations and staff were excellent and exceeded my expectations. The location is situated wonderfully with beautiful views. If I am nearby, I will stay again.

Family-run hotel in the 3rd generation. Quiet and quiet, right next to the nature reserve. Breakfast is simply good. I feel good here.

Super location

When my parents came to visit me, I wanted them to stay some place quaint with a nice river view and that old German feel. As you can see in the attached photos, Hotel Peter Schaefer with its Bed and Breakfast feel on the Altrhein more than matched my criteria. Biking to Mainz on a Saturday morning to enjoy the open air market, relaxing by the river with picturesque sunset backdrops, many fine meals in the neighboring Strausswirtschaften...the list goes on. They loved their stay here! And, getting them to and from Frankfurt was no problem with the nearby S-Bahn. On a different note, as someone who lives nearby, I can attest to one thing: Restaurant Rheinischer Hof, especially with the advent of their new menu, is the only restaurant worth eating at in Ginsheim. Nothing screams fresh liking hearing the loud pounds of a meat tenderizer a minute after putting in an order for Weiner Schnitzel. The Goat Cheese and honey Flammkuchen also hits the spot. Highly recommend :)
